The ten verses are divided into five: the first two clarify the benefit of hearing and believing in the Dharma spoken by this Buddha. First, what is heard is discerned: 'this place' is this Padmagarbha place. It is also the place where this Buddha speaks the Dharma. The latter verse reveals the benefit: the first half repeats what was previously heard, the next line uses it to seek the Buddha, and the lower line clarifies that seeking will certainly attain, hence it says 'ultimate,' and so forth. Third, there are two verses clarifying that hearing and believing in the Dharma of past Buddhas has benefit, each with the first half bringing up what is believed and the second half clarifying the benefit of faith, as can be understood. Fourth, there are two verses on hearing and believing in the Dharma of present Buddhas having benefit, wherein the first line is the one who can believe, the next two lines are the Buddha believed in, and the lower line is the Dharma believed in. The latter verse reveals the benefit, because obtaining the hearing of it is difficult. Another explanation states: the first half of the former verse clarifies believing in the present Buddha, and the second half clarifies the benefit of faith, meaning that through this faith one accomplishes samyaksaṃbuddha, and so forth; the latter verse reveals that the Dharma is superior and difficult to hear. Fifth, there are two verses generally concluding all the Buddha Dharmas above and concluding by exhorting one to practice and learn. Therein, the first verse exhorts upholding and preaching: the first line repeats the above Dharma, the next line exhorts upholding, the next line exhorts preaching, and the lower line praises its superiority to exhort it.
