> Second, the verses: in total there are twenty-five verses, divided into four parts: First, two verses praise the essence of the practices previously dedicated. Second, from "all supremely wonderful" below, nine and a half verses versify the previous dedication toward sentient beings and toward bodhi, divided into four parts: first, four verses praise obtaining excellent retribution due to dedication, with which one makes offerings to all buddhas; second, from "skillfully discerning" below, two verses praise the previous making of offerings to buddhas for the purpose of benefiting sentient beings; third, from "all buddhas" below, two and a half verses praise the previous making of offerings to the relics of the buddhas; fourth, from "the bodhisattva skillfully knows" below, one verse praises the previous practice of dedicating \[merit from\] making offerings to the buddhas. Third, from "supreme and wonderful wisdom" below, seven and a half verses versify the previous dedication to the ultimate reality, divided into four parts: first, three verses clarify the practice of contemplating the principle and following conditions, one and a half being the benefit of oneself, and one and a half being the benefit of others; second, from "contemplating the minds of sentient beings" below, two verses clarify the practice of examining conditions and entering the real; third, from "discerning whatever exists" below, one and a half verses clarify the practice of dual interpenetration and non-obstruction; fourth, from "dedicated through upāya" below, one verse clarifies concluding the practice and perfecting its marks. Fourth, from "the bodhisattva with single-mindedness" below, six verses praise the previously concluded marks of the benefits of dedication, wherein: first, one \[verse\] mindfully recalls all buddhas above—the Daśabhūmika-śāstra states: "Just as what the Buddha has attained, I too shall attain—this is called mindfulness of the Buddha"; second, saving sentient beings below; third, protecting the true Dharma; fourth, abiding in existence while remaining free from attachment; fifth, gathering dharmas while transcending rebirth; sixth, virtues being perfected while remaining free from marks—each is revealed by one verse, which can be understood.
