> The ninth major section, from "At that time, Vajra\[garbha\]" onwards, is the section of verse praise encouraging cultivation. In this there are two parts: first, introducing the intent; next, properly speaking the verses. In this there are also two parts: first, explaining the verses of the tenth pariṇāmanā; next, praising its excellence and encouraging cultivation. In the former, there are thirty-six verses, divided into three: the first nine verses praise the kuśala-mūlas dedicated; the next seven verses praise the practice of pariṇāmanā; the latter twenty verses praise the fruit of the station. In the second part, there are three subdivisions: the first two verses generally praise the preceding nine sections of pariṇāmanā in the text; the next one verse praises the pariṇāmanā adorning the lands; the following four verses praise that which is undertaken by the pariṇāmanā in the two sections. Third, from "The bodhisattva possesses" onwards, praises the fruit of the station, with three parts: the first one verse praises the mastery of seeing the Buddha, for only through one's own mastery can one see the Buddha's mastery; the next seventeen verses praise the purity of wisdom in universally entering the assemblies and sites of awakening of all buddhas of the three periods of time in a single thought-instant, within attaining purity. The eight mentioned above necessarily reside in making offerings, hence this is extensively revealed here. This is capacity and power; it must not be taken as versifying the causes undertaken by the fulfillment of vows previously. Finally, the two verses from "Past" onwards generally conclude the tenth pariṇāmanā. However, the above has been distinguished according to coarse characteristics. The bodhisattva exercises eloquence at will, its substance and power embracing all, and the general purport is no different; hence it is not discussed in detail. The second part, from "This is" onwards, praises its excellence and encourages cultivation, applying universally to the ten pariṇāmanās. In this there are nine verses, divided into two: the first six verses adduce persons and follow practice to praise its excellence, stating that it is what the bodhisattvas practice and what the Tathāgatas expound—practices conforming to marks such as the six pāramitās, and practices free of marks such as the dharmadhātu—hence it is transcendent and superior. The latter three verses from "That which the wise possess" onwards conclude the praise and encourage cultivation.
