> Tenth, the mark of performing maintenance distinguishes teaching and meaning in terms of the virtues of the buddhas as speakers and the spoken vocal teachings. First, the mark of awakening is the virtue of performing maintenance, because it awakens to the marks of dharmatā. 'Words' refers to words according to one's own intent, words according to another's intent, and words according to both one's own and another's intent, because these can expound the Dharma. The ten powers crush the conceit of Māra, the fearlessnesses subdue non-Buddhists, the unshared \[dharmas\] differ from the two vehicles due to compassion and continual eloquence. 'Expedient means of being able to speak' accords with the capacities of beings. 'Turning the wheel of the Dharma' is correct exposition. All the above follow realization through sarvākārajñatā. Second, the mark of differentiation means knowing the Buddha's vocal teachings differentiated according to minds, lineages, and so forth. Third, the mark of exposition means expounding by employing the preceding distinctions of vocal sounds. Fourth, the mark of their boundlessness means expounding distinctly. 'According to faith and understanding' demonstrates the bodhisattva's inexhaustible delightful speech. 'With the Tathāgata's wisdom and so forth' means that the dharmakāya of all buddhas takes benefiting sentient beings as practice; since this practice unites with wisdom, it is undefiled, pure, and indestructible, hence called 'complete'. Having partially attained this on this stage, they employ it to speak.
