大方廣佛華嚴經疏 47.3

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [47.3](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1735.47.3)

> First, the contextual origin has two aspects: First, the general \[origin\] is that whereas the preceding three chapters separately answered the earlier questions, the three chapters from here on generally elucidate the profound depth of equal enlightenment (samyaksaṃbodhi). Second, the specific \[origin\] is that since wisdom was previously perfected and realization reached its culmination, this chapter measures the inconceivable practice and virtue; hence it follows in sequence. Furthermore, the bodhisattva fully exhausts the inconceivable virtues of the Buddha; thus \[this chapter\] also serves to answer from afar \[the inquiry about\] the ocean of transformations, and so the verses below extensively reveal the great function of transformation. It also generally reveals the numbers throughout the entire scripture.
