大方廣佛華嚴經疏 49.37

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [49.37](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1735.49.37)

第二法界湛然喻，喻佛體無增減智，即轉釋前依。依者，依此出生故。雖出諸智，亦不減少。菩薩解脫成佛智時，亦不增足，以同體均故，如上海中板喻。

> Second is the simile of the dharmadhātu being calm and clear, which illustrates the Buddha's wisdom of neither increasing nor decreasing in essence; this, in turn, explains the prior 'support'. It is a 'support' because \[all kinds of wisdom\] arise supported by this. Even though it produces the various wisdoms, it does not decrease; when a bodhisattva attains liberation and accomplishes the Buddha's wisdom, it also does not increase or become fuller, because it is equal in having an identical essence—like the previous simile of the plank in the sea.
