> Fifth, from "Good son, from here..." onward, he directs him to the subsequent good friend, namely the good friend of the station of noble birth (abhijāta-vihāra). The country is named Dramiḍa, translated here as "Dissolving," meaning born from the holy teachings, dissolving erroneous understanding. The city is named Vaśavartin (Independence), because in the Dharma of the Buddhas of the three times, understanding and cultivation are mastered and attained to perfection. Regarding the mention of "there is a person," the Jin translation says that there is a good physician named Megha, translated here as "Cloud," because he expounds the gate of the syllable-wheel containing the Dharma of moisturizing rain, raining upon all with the Dharma-cloud of the holy teachings of the three times.
