> Third, from 'Muktaka said' downwards directly shows the dharmadhātu. Therein are two parts: first, presenting the name and essence of the Dharma door; second, from 'Good man, because I' downwards, explaining its functional activity. Now for the first: what he studied under Mañjuśrī is because having wisdom enables one to protect the precepts. Writing expresses that the prohibitions and practices are clearly defined. Numbers symbolize the four grave prohibitions, the ten grave prohibitions, and even the three thousand deportments and eighty thousand subtle conducts. Calculating symbolizes how much fruit is brought about by each individual cause. Seals symbolize that upholding or violating, wholesome and unwholesome, definitively bring about fruits. 'And so forth' includes the other medical treatises, completing the five sciences. The above explains what was studied; the below discerns what was realized. Arts, crafts, and supernatural powers are all produced by wisdom, and also symbolize that cultivating precepts gives rise to concentration and wisdom. Second, explaining the functional activity has three parts: first, a general explanation; next, from 'Also able to heal' downwards, miscellaneous discernment of various sciences; third, from 'Good man' downwards, extensively revealing knowledge of calculation. Therein, first he discerns the numbers that can calculate; later, from 'Good man, by this I' downwards, he calculates what is calculated by them. The remaining three sections can be understood.
