The city is named Kaliṅgavana; translating it by its meaning, it is "the time of fighting in battle," meaning that the city was established due to victory in battle. This symbolizes this vow of pariṇāmanā: through the great majestic power of faith and understanding, and because vast wisdom is unobstructed, causing cultivated good roots to reach everywhere, its meaning is identical to the time of battle. In the text, first, proceeding to seek \[the teaching\] in accordance with instructions. The statement that King Jinarasmi gave the Prabhāsavatī garden: according to the Vinaya, the dhūta practices of nuns were mostly in royal gardens, relying on external protection.
