> Regarding the Commentary's lines from 'Therefore, it is either exclusively broad' onward: this distinguishes the numerical propositions. First, because phenomena are like principle, it is broad; second, because it does not destroy its original characteristics, it is narrow; third, because these two are simultaneous, it is both broad and narrow; fourth, because they simultaneously negate each other, both are eliminated; fifth, possessing the preceding four, it illuminates them at one time. Thus it says that the realm of understanding and the arising of practice bring an end to understanding. Hence there is the sixth, comprehensively extinguishing the preceding five: who would still hold breadth and narrowness, existence and elimination, within their heart?
