> On the Commentary's passage starting from "Furthermore, due to this single conditioning factor": second, explaining together the reason for the two meanings of identification and entrance. That is to say, identification and entrance within the same essence are accomplished through different essences: because different essences mutually enter, they cause the same essence to mutually enter; because different essences are mutually identical, they cause the same essence to be mutually identical. This has two meanings: first, if stated directly, just as the different-essence two is precisely the fundamental one, how could the same-essence two not be precisely the fundamental one? The different-essence three is precisely the fundamental one, so the three in terms of the same essence is also the fundamental one. This is precisely the present meaning. Second, the fundamental one and the manifold ones are mutually conditioned arising with each other, being by analogy identical to mutual dependence in different essences. The Commentary that follows will present it fully.
