> Below the Commentary's statement, "Now, first, the mental karma," the commentary text has two parts: first, a general indication, and second, below "previously it stated 'in regard to all'," a distinct explanation. Within this there are again two: first, a brief explanation, and second, below "cognition means the two cognitions," an extensive explanation. Within this there are also two: first, identifying the cognitions capable of entering, and second, below "the two cognitions are," distinctly clarifying the characteristics of entering through cognition. This comprises four sections: first, explaining the two cognitions; second, explaining the three cognitions; third, explaining unhindered cognition; fourth, explaining the four cognitions. Because unhindered cognition is consummate in its meaning, it is placed at the end; because it is accomplished through the three truths, its explanation is placed before the four.
