- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.28](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1736.2.28)

> In the Commentary, "'Square / standard' (fāng) maintains itself by means of the True Dharma," also has two meanings: first, fāng means correct; second, fāng means Dharma (method/standard); both maintain self-nature, running through the two meanings above. That is to say, the nature-virtues \[numerous as\] the sands of the Ganges are the greatness of characteristics; none are biased or false, hence called "correct"; all can be taken as standards and maintained, designated as "Dharma." Thus a later chapter of the sūtra says: "Ordinary beings lack awakening and understanding; the Buddha causes them to abide in the True Dharma. All phenomena have nowhere to abide; awakening to this, one sees one's own body."
