> Regarding the commentary's "Layer upon layer mutually reflecting, like the hanging jewels of Indra's net": this is the seventh approach, the realm of Indra's net. Just as the pearl net covering the palace of the king of the gods: within a single bright pearl, ten thousand images all appear, and so it is with all the pearls; and then they mutually manifest reflections, reflections again manifesting reflections, layer upon layer without end. Although a thousand lights and ten thousand colors mutually reflect layer upon layer, they remain clearly distinct. It is also like two mirrors mutually reflecting: layer upon layer interpenetrating, transmitting radiance and transcribing one another, endlessly emerging in alternation.
