- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [23.69](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1736.23.69)

> Regarding the commentary's statement, "It also expresses that the body serves as an offering implement": this refers to the verse spoken by the Preceptor Jietuo in praise of the Buddha: "Joining the palms to serve as flowers, / The body serves as an offering implement; / A good mind is sincere incense, / Praises diffuse incense smoke. / All Buddhas hearing this fragrance, / Following the sound, come to deliver \[beings\]; / If the assemblies diligently exert vigor, / They will never doubt or go astray." Regarding the commentary's statement, "As for explaining them particularly, contemplate them according to the text": when demonstrating meanings of this kind, there are no fixed formulas; if instances and examples are similar, they may simply be cited as evidence.
