Furthermore, explaining pure lands generally has two meanings: First, practicing pure karma serves as the cause, bringing about the result of pure characteristics; second, virtuous karma serves as the cause, bringing about the result of sovereign purity. Active karma begins with ordinary beings and ends with the tenth ground; virtuous karma begins with the Immovable \[Ground\] and ends with the Tathāgata. The second section's specific explanation is the purity of active karma. The third section's interfusion and subsumption is sovereign purity.
