> Regarding the commentary's "Third, the simile of the illusionist manifesting an illusion is a simile for what is produced": what is produced applies generally to cause and effect. Beginning from "If illusory matter is a simile for retribution" and following, it explains them separately. First it clarifies that the fruit is what is produced, and later, beginning from "If illusory matter is a simile for karma" and following, it determines that karma is what is produced. Regarding "Karma is also conditionally produced": just as a person receiving the five precepts creates human karma, which necessarily depends on the preceptor's spoken instruction and the implements of the three karmas before the karma is accomplished; therefore, karma is also conditionally produced.
