- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [35.41](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1736.35.41)

> Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Furthermore, the text contains the four vast vows, which can be understood by their meaning": The fourth is in terms of the four vast vows. In the text, "not seeking the five desires" and so forth manifests "afflictions are boundless, I vow to sever them." "Solely to perpetually extinguish the suffering of sentient beings" is "sentient beings are boundless, I vow to liberate them." "Upholding the true Dharma and cultivating all wisdoms" is "Dharma gates are endless, I vow to learn them." "To realize bodhi" is "the Buddha Way is supreme, I vow to accomplish it." Thus, all four are complete.
