- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [38.69](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1736.38.69)

疏「菩薩六度四等萬行總持皆力義」者，次第合上，施合聚人以財，尸羅合慎危以戒，乃至般若合智。四等合仁，愍傷不殺以為仁故。萬行總持合上制敵以眾。

> Regarding the commentary's statement, "The bodhisattva's six perfections, four immeasurables, myriads of practices, and dhāraṇīs all bear the meaning of strength": these correspond in sequence to what was above: giving corresponds to gathering people through wealth; śīla corresponds to guarding against danger through moral discipline; down to prajñā corresponding to wisdom. The four immeasurables correspond to benevolence, for sympathy and not killing constitute benevolence. The myriads of practices and dhāraṇīs correspond to subduing enemies through the multitude above.
