Third, the Sindhu River flows out of the mouth of a golden-colored bull with golden sand, corresponding to eloquence in expression, explaining dependent origination in accordance with the mundane. Fourth, the Vakṣu River flows out of the mouth of a vaiḍūrya-colored horse with vaiḍūrya sand, corresponding to the bodhisattva mahāsattva being likewise, using inexhaustible eloquence to shower down inexhaustible hundreds of thousands of koṭis of nayutas of ineffable dharmas, and so forth. Below, it matches them individually, saying: "What are the four rivers of a bodhisattva? First, the river of vows and wisdom; second, the river of pāramitās; third, the river of samādhi; fourth, the river of great compassion."
