> In the commentary, 'a single tip-of-hair's worth of good' onward is Master Daosheng's interpretation. In the Lotus Sūtra, a single tip-of-hair's worth of good reveals the origin and displays buddhahood, so that raising a hand or bowing the head has already achieved buddhahood. Saying 'none is not an outflow of the Buddha' conveys the meaning of the Nirvāṇa \[Sūtra\], where even the scriptures of non-Buddhists are outflows of the Buddhadharma, how much more so internal teachings? This is because teachings of both the greater and lesser \[vehicles\] all flow forth from the Tathāgata's great compassion.
