- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [6.36](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1736.6.36)

> Regarding the commentary's "If one says that the third period is solely named deprecation and praise..." and so forth, this refutes the third period. The text has two parts: first, a dual presentation; and second, from "The Vimalakīrtinirdeśa says..." onward, a dual refutation. First, refuting the claim that the third period did not explain the meaning of permanence is clear. Second, from "The Prajñā\[pāramitā\] also says..." onward, it refutes the claim that \[the third period\] uniquely holds the designation of deprecation and praise, because the second period also deprecated and praised: the two vehicles being like fireflies was the deprecation; the bodhisattvas being like the sun was the praise.
