> As for the Commentary's "Therefore, why it is uniquely named 'entering the culmination of the moment' here": there are three \[points\]. First, generally questioning the intention of the statement, since neither earlier nor later praise of virtues has this; second, starting from "to manifest," directly answering what was asked; third, starting from "when the bodhisattva grounds are exhausted," explaining the culmination of the moment. However, there are two explanations. First, explaining it by combining the \*Benye \[jing\]\* and the \*Awakening of Faith\*. "When the bodhisattva grounds are exhausted" is a text from the \*Awakening of Faith\*, whose meaning applies to two places. As for "there are only the two minds of the burden of the fruit, impermanence, and arising and ceasing," this refers to the lower scroll of the \*Benye jing\*, which states: "At that time the bodhisattva abides in the gate of great quiescence, ascends the terrace of the great mountain, enters hundreds of thousands of samādhis, and realizes the deportment and function of a Buddha. There are only the two minds of the burden of the fruit, impermanence, and arising and ceasing; mind by mind, unconditioned practice surpasses the ten grounds, his understanding identical to the Buddha's, sitting upon the Buddha's seat," and so forth. Explanation: As for the burden of the fruit, impermanence, and arising and ceasing, the inconceivable transformation death (\*pariṇāmikī-cyutiḥ\*) prior to the transformation of the basis is called the burden of the fruit. Its substance is impermanent and has arising and ceasing. As for "the mark of arising is not yet quiescent," this is the intention of the \*Awakening of Faith\*, meaning the karmic mark has not yet perished. As for "still called the store of consciousness," this is also the intention of the \*Awakening of Faith\*, because the dharmakāya has not yet become manifest. The above analyzes that equal enlightenment still has moments (\*kṣaṇa\*) and has not reached its culmination. Starting from "if through the uninterrupted \[path\]," it explains and completes the meaning of culmination. The point where the moment is exhausted is called the culmination; hence it states "namely, there is no moment," which is also a text from the \*Awakening of Faith\* cited previously. Starting from "if one enters this," it explains the samādhi of all Buddhas, which is also a text from the \*Awakening of Faith\*. There might be a question: Above it says that when the bodhisattva grounds are exhausted, it is equal enlightenment; why is it called the samādhi of all Buddhas? Therefore, citing this text establishes the meaning of all Buddhas.
