> Commentary: "However, now since it says" and so forth: selecting the real and distinguishing the provisional. First, directly clarifying the Hīnayāna: they only know personal emptiness and still consider dharmas to exist; how could they awaken to intrinsic nature? As for saying "and so forth": seeing the real truth is the srotāpanna; knowing there is no coming or going is the sakṛdāgāmin and the anāgāmin; not minding dharmas of receiving rebirth is the arhat; accomplishing the four meanings is the pratyekabuddha. In the single flavor of conditioned arising, the words and meanings all extend through to the Mahāyāna; hence there is the word "and so forth."
