- **Language:** Classical Chinese

第五堅固長者。「無念約心」者，即以無字兩用。若無著念三字連釋，則無著約止，而不礙念念明記，即止觀雙行也。亦離二障，則以智斷而嚴法身，三德備矣。

> The fifth, the Elder Dṛḍha. As for "non-thought with respect to the mind," this is using the character 'wu' (non-/free from) twice. If one interprets the three characters 'wu-zhuo-nian' (non-attached mindfulness) continuously, then 'non-attached' pertains to śamatha, yet this does not obstruct remembering clearly from thought to thought, which is the dual cultivation of śamatha and vipaśyanā. It is also being free from the two hindrances, thus adorning the dharmakāya through wisdom and severance, so that the three virtues are complete.
