新華嚴經論 3.56

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.56](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1739.3.56)

第五如來昇夜摩天上，放足趺上光，以明用成行位。此天離地際故，說十行位也，表依空起行用也。表法以明先證法身根本智慧，始行萬行。

> Fifth, when the Tathāgata ascended to the Yāma Heaven, he emitted light from the tops of his feet to clarify the fulfillment of the stage of practices through its functioning. Because this heaven is free from the realm of the earth, the stage of the ten practices is taught here, symbolizing the initiation of active functions based upon emptiness. In symbolizing the teaching, it clarifies that one first realizes the fundamental wisdom of the dharmakāya, and only then carries out the myriad practices.
