> On the sūtra's words from "Even if all persons" to "Thus arrive at purity," the Commentary states: Hereafter, it contrasts with the wisdom of all noble ones to praise the wisdom as deep and pure. Attaining the path means their practice is supreme; penetrating emptiness means their understanding is deep; myriads of kalpas means the time is long; exhausting their power means the explanation is pushed to the limit; boundless means exhausting the ten directions; limitless means exhausting the three periods of time; purity means obstacles are exhausted—that is, exhausting to the point where obstacles to the fruit of the path are exhausted; hence it is praised as difficult to conceive.
