> Second, the virtue of the companions: because the śrāvaka disciples are all arhats. The treatise says, regarding the fulfillment of the virtue of adorning the retinue, the verse states: / 'The Tathāgata's pure flower assembly / Is born from the flower of perfect awakening.' / The commentary states: Saying 'pure flower assembly' here refers to the assembly that has attained the seven kinds of pure flowers. What are the seven? First, purity of discipline; second, purity of mind; third, purity of view; fourth, purity of overcoming doubt; fifth, purity of knowledge and vision regarding path and non-path; sixth, purity of knowledge and vision regarding practice; seventh, purity of knowledge and vision regarding practice and cessation. These are explained at length in the \*Yogācārabhūmi\*. Such an assembly of seven kinds of floating flowers is born through transformation from the flower of the Buddha's perfect awakening.
