> Daosheng states: These are still words of non-faith. Sengliang states: Matters of the same body are near, while another body is distant; if what is near is still not known, how much less what is distant? Fayao states: This speaks of their present feelings being contrary to the principle. The wisdom of non-self obtained from the Buddha is not yet clear, and still does not speak of having a self; how much less the Buddha's wisdom seeing the self, which is fully complete, could speak of having a self? Sengzong states: If the nature is my nature, and I do not know it myself, how could someone who is not me know my nature?
