> Baoliang states: From here down through 'are still deluded by the wheel of non-self,' previously it explained that bodhisattvas, upon having the nature of cause and effect preached to them, are able to advance to the head of faith with their faculties established, ascending to the initial stage. When they reach the fulfillment of practice on the ten grounds, the hindrances they have abandoned are thin, and only then do they again faintly see the nature's eight masteries and emptiness of self. Although contemplating this emptiness, their minds do not yet sink into total reliance; they revert to the mind of non-self. Because their conviction is not yet resolved, it is said that they are deluded by non-self; it is not that they arbitrarily assume the Buddha-ground to be non-self and are thereby deluded.
