### [24.42](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1763.24.42)

> Sengliang comments: This answers: 'How does one act as eyes and a guide for the born-blind?' Next he uses the internal fruit to encourage faith. If one does not recognize the permanent fruit and does not know that the body is the permanent cause, being blind to the cause is called being 'born-blind'. Below, not knowing the hands, feet, and other matters is called being 'eyeless'. The permanent is what one is not yet able to see; it is a matter beyond the obstruction, which is called being 'eyeless'.
