### [32.34](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1763.32.34)

> Daosheng notes: "The aggregate of the five skandhas is neither identical nor separate, and has no fixed marks. The noble ones know it according to its marks and nature; because they surpass worldly persons, it is called the ultimate." Sengliang says: "'Worldly dharmas' refers to the eight worldly dharmas; their opposite is the supramundane. What is known by the supramundane—the three provisionals and emptiness—are all the ultimate truth. Worldly persons know existence with fixed marks: as an ox is definitely an ox and cannot be a horse, they also grasp a real meaning, which is the conventional truth." Sengzong says: "This is the first layer: the combination of the five aggregates. Calling someone 'So-and-so' brings up what ordinary beings know to clarify delusion. Understanding that the aggregates lack this brings up what noble ones know to clarify understanding."
