> The above is an extensive explanation; 'this is called noble practice' concludes it as a whole. From 'what is meant' downward explains it, wherein there are three: first, it explains noble practice, asking first and explaining after. Because it is the practice of buddhas, bodhisattvas, and noble ones, it is called noble practice. Second, it explains the noble ones, asking first and explaining after. The explanation has four meanings: the first meaning explains the noble in terms of Dharma—because of 'having noble dharmas' one is called a noble one, and 'always contemplating emptiness' and so on clarifies the preceding noble dharmas; the latter three meanings explain the noble in terms of practice: first in terms of the three trainings, next in terms of the seven riches, and last in terms of the seven factors of awakening. Third, from 'by this meaning' downward, it concludes the practice in terms of persons; according to \[the sections on\] concentration and wisdom below, this ought to praise the sūtra, but the text is concise and omits it.
