> Question: In the preceding six emptinesses, the Tathāgata, Dharma, Saṅgha, and buddha-nature were all excluded; why is that not the case here in this emptiness of intrinsic nature? Explanation: Here, emptiness of intrinsic nature is explained comprehensively in terms of the retributive fruition of permanence, bliss, self, and purity; permanence, bliss, self, and purity are the Buddha, Dharma, and Saṅgha, which is why they are not excluded. Furthermore, the Buddha's retributive fruition of permanence, bliss, self, and purity is also broadly termed "nature"; for this reason, in terms of marks, buddha-nature is not excluded. That they are not excluded in the remaining emptinesses below follows this same pattern.
