大般涅槃經疏 20.21

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [20.21](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1767.20.21)

> From "At that time Vaiḍūryaprabhā" onward is the third part, expressing realization, which again has two: first, the compiler of the sūtra recounts the circumstances; next, the direct expression of understanding. The expression of understanding also has two: expressing for himself, and expressing for the assembly. First, expressing for himself, he says "hearing the unheard"; expressing for the assembly, he says "the non-arisen arising"—this is expressing their gates to attaining understanding. It is simply because there were those who had not understood the four phrases of "reaching the unreached" that Abhaya further asked about being born in the Akṣobhya realm, and Virtuous King further discussed "reaching the unreached" and so forth.
