> Question: If, according to the preferable explanation, the heavenly body is called "one life," why does the thirty-eighth fascicle of the \*Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa\* say: "Bodhisattvas of three lives are born only in Tuṣita"? Answer: Calling it "three lives" is by counting backwards from the final life: namely, first, the final life; second, the heavenly life; and third, the human life—after this human life, upon dying, one is definitely born in Tuṣita.
