- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.234](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.1.234)

> \[Seng\]zhao says: Mount Sumeru is the vajra mountain where the celestial lord Śakra dwells. In the language of Qin it means 'Wondrously High.' Situated in the midst of the great sea, it rises three million three hundred and sixty thousand li above the water. The Tathāgata, situated in the midst of the fourfold assembly, possesses awe-inspiring marks that are transcendent, his radiance eclipsing the great assembly, just as the golden mountain towers manifest above the boundless sea.
