- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.272](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.1.272)

> \[Seng\]zhao says: A worldly king has mastery over the people; the Dharma King has mastery over dharmas. Dharmas have no fixed characteristics, and he discriminates them according to how they respond. For those who delight in difference, he discriminates difference without contravening sameness; for those who delight in sameness, he discriminates sameness without contravening difference. Different distinctions of sameness and difference all accord with the characteristics of dharmas; therefore he has attained mastery.
