Dedicating includes sentient beings along with oneself, so complete merits are spoken of. Complete merits mean no eight difficulties, so eliminating the eight difficulties is further spoken of. Eliminating the eight difficulties is the practice, so one receives the retribution of being free from difficulties. Since there are no eight difficulties, there are no evils; since there are no evils, there are no transgressions of prohibitions, hence freedom from breaking precepts is spoken of next. The perfection of precepts was spoken of above, and now precepts are mentioned again; the meaning does not lie in the precepts themselves, but uses precepts to clarify not faulting the shortcomings of others. Because one does not fault their shortcomings, no one knows their shortcomings; because no one knows their shortcomings, there is no reputation of transgressing prohibitions.
