- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.282](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.2.282)

> \[Seng\]zhao says: "In the Dharma itself there is no dharma; what could accord with thusness? Because there is nothing it accords with, it is named 'according with thusness'." \[Dao\]sheng says: "'Thusness' means there is nothing that is not thus. If there were something it accorded with, it would be different, and it could not accord. Only when there is completely nothing it accords with can it accord. Truly because the names differ while the reality is identical, there is the expression 'accords with'. Thusness should be spoken of as 'accords with', so he speaks of it using 'accords with'."
