- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.305](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.3.305)

> \[Seng\]zhao says: “The arising of pain and illness is merely caused by karmic actions. As for the Tathāgata, there is no good that is not accumulated, and no evil that is not dissolved; his body is like vajra, so what affliction could there be?” \[Dao\]sheng says: “He briefly shows the principle of his having no illness. It means there is entirely no basis to bring about illness, while the causes of joy are universally gathered; naturally, what illness could he have?”
