- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [5.118](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.5.118)

> \[Seng\]zhao says: The four great elements are fundamentally non-existent, and illness likewise does not exist; yet the empty and provisional illnesses of sentient beings arise from the four great elements, and therefore I respond to their illnesses with an empty and provisional illness. Tracing back to their fundamental basis, both other and self lack reality; so why wish to inspect their outward form? \[Dao\]sheng says: It is also due to this and is not a real illness.
