注維摩詰經 5.54

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [5.54](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.5.54)

什曰：外道經書唯知有三大病，不知地大。佛法中說四大病，病之所生生於四大增損，四大增損必自有因而然，故問其因起也。

> \[Kumāra\]jīva says: The scriptures of non-Buddhists know only three great illnesses and do not know the earth element. In the Buddha-Dharma, illnesses of the four great elements are explained: illnesses arise from the increase or decrease of the four great elements. The increase or decrease of the four great elements must naturally have its own cause, which is why he asks what caused it to arise.
