- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [5.72](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.5.72)

> \[Kumāra\]jīva says: The room is empty because of the absence of things; by what principle, then, are the lands empty? \[Seng\]zhao says: The room is empty because of the absence of things; by what are the buddha-lands empty? He is about to discuss the meaning of ultimate emptiness. \[Dao\]sheng says: He still supposes that the peace of a land exists, not realizing it is identical to this absence. Since the householder speaks of their identity, on what grounds does he arrive at this alone?
