注維摩詰經 8.140

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.140](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.8.140)

什曰：不言無而言少者，明身為病本，本宜棄也。肇曰：將示有身不得無患，故致問如來猶云少病少惱。

> \[Kumāra\]jīva says: He does not say 'without illness' but 'illnesses few' to clarify that the body is the root of illness, and the root ought properly to be abandoned. \[Seng\]zhao says: Because he intends to show that having a body means one cannot be without afflictions, in conveying inquiries to the Tathāgata he still says 'illnesses few and vexations few.'
