- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [9.28](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1775.9.28)

> \[Kumāra\]jīva says: It refers to the sixteen mental states of seeing the truths. A question asks: 'How does eating fragrant rice bring attainment of the Path?' The answer says: 'The body is made secure and the mind quieted, producing a state of mind never had before. Even the rice is like this; how much more so the Path? When there is this wonderful fruit, there must be a wonderful cause. Developing exceedingly great faith and joy, profoundly penetrating cause and effect, one then understands dependent origination; understanding dependent origination, one then perceives the real Dharma.' \[Seng\]zhao says: Accomplishing the unattached fruit is called 'liberation of the mind.'
