- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [4.13](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1776.4.13)

> In the twenty-seventh \[statement\], first, "Guṇagarbha said" indicates the person who speaks separately. Below, what he said is clarified. "'Having acquisition is two'" points back to the signs of duality. Creating wholesome and unwholesome deeds and obtaining retributions of suffering and pleasure is called "acquisition"; within what is acquired, differences such as suffering and pleasure are called "two." Below, he overturns these two to clarify nonduality, where the double elimination of the two signs constitutes nonduality. First he differentiates, and then he concludes. As for "if there is no acquisition, there is no grasping or abandoning," in the supreme meaning, acquisition is originally nonexistent; because there is no acquisition, there is no pleasure to grasp and no suffering to abandon. "One without grasping or abandoning" takes this up to conclude.
