> Answer: As a verse in this sūtra states: / 'The Buddha expounds the Dharma with a single voice: / Some feel terror, some feel joy, / Some give rise to revulsion, and some cut off doubts— / This is the unshared dharma of spiritual power.' / 'Giving rise to dread' is the worldly siddhānta: knowing that because of desire the world exists, and that the world is like a burning house, they therefore give rise to dread. 'Some feel joy' is the siddhānta for the person: bringing forth good roots and attaining the joy of the Dharma. 'Some give rise to revulsion' is the therapeutic siddhānta: feeling revulsion toward defilements and raising antidotes. 'Some cut off doubts' is the paramārtha siddhānta: initially entering the paramārtha-satya of the path of seeing is precisely the stage of cutting off doubts. Thus, whatever phenomenon or principle is expounded, all establish the four siddhāntas.
