If it is said that it does not clarify permanent abiding, this sūtra states: 'The body of the Tathāgata is a vajra-body. All evils are eternally exhausted, and all goods are universally gathered. How could it have any illness?' How could this not be permanent abiding! Next, if it is said that this sūtra is the teaching of the true tenet and surpasses the Lotus, why is it that the various śrāvakas do not see buddha-nature in this sūtra, as they do in the Lotus and Nirvāṇa? Next, if it is said that this sūtra is the complete letter and clarifies the permanent abiding of buddha-nature, why does the Nirvāṇa classify it as the teaching of curd? Since curd cannot be ghee itself, how could this sūtra be on par with the complete letter of the Nirvāṇa?
