Out of great compassion, for the sake of sentient beings, bodhisattvas seek the unsurpassed path, not reckoning the number of kalpas, and deeply contemplate all phenomena; not stagnating in the two extremes, their single mind is constantly tranquil. Just as when water is clear and pure the form of the gem naturally appears, so they attain the true mark of all phenomena. Therefore, what is clarified in the Mahāyāna scriptural teachings contains the real true mark of all phenomena.
